About

Born and bred in Monticello, Indiana, Rodney Dimmitt has been welding for over 30 years since receiving his welding certification from Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana. Welding every day for Wabash National since 1988, he decided to start Dimmitt Welding & Fabrication in 2016 to make welding services more available to people who are not able to bring their projects to a shop.

Rodney and his wife, DeEtta, live on their four-generation-old family farm, the ground for which his great grandfather, Orris E. Dimmitt, purchased in 1918. Orris then built the farmhouse and barn using wood from the property. Rodney and DeEtta now raise chickens for eggs and meat, grow and can vegetables from their garden, and are active members of Oak Grove Christian Church a half mile from their farm.
